In Grade 11, students take the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT), either online or in person at Lynn-Rose College in Toronto.With personalized support in a new environment, students build confidence, deepen independence, and feel empowered to reach graduation and future goals.
Diploma students develop essential life skills such as self-management, resilience, entrepreneurial thinking and teamwork through engaging, hands-on learning and meaningful collaboration.One standout experience is the HTS Start-Up Challenge where students team up to create and pitch a business or social innovation that addresses real-world issues. Through market research, prototyping, budgeting and presentations to guest judges, students strengthen their initiative, creativity and collaboration - skills that prepare them for success in post-diploma studies and beyond.
Diploma students at Hanoi Toronto thrive as bilingual learners, developing strong communication skills in both English and Vietnamese through the Ontario Optimized Program. With support in English as an Additional Language and Vietnamese as an Additional Language, they build confidence and fluency. Many are encouraged to take international English language exams such as IELTS and often qualify for exemptions, a testament to the strength of HTS’s language preparation.
Each year, HTS students broaden their global perspective through International Learning Opportunities for Students (ILOS), taking part in dynamic, global programs. As ISP Changemakers and Global Ambassadors, they proudly represent HTS at international forums and lead global citizenship projects within the ISP network.
